Impact of compensation |
Clients
with Compensation claims can have more benefit that those client
that are non compensible.
Benefits may vary
depending on their needs. For example a severely injured clients
will have more options for
equipment, care and home modifications.
Types of compensation
The different types
of Compensation claims in New South Wales include:
Compulsory
Third Party, this is a claim when someone is injured in a motor vehicle
as a passenger,driver;pedestrian,cyclist or motor bike rider.
Workers
Compensation - this is when someone is injured at work. A
person is entitled to Workers Compensation if the person is a worker
or "deemed
worker;the injury is work related;the work is a substantial
contributing factor to the injury; the person is covered by the
NSW Workers
Compensation Legislation
Sports Injury
Claim
Victims Compensation -
this is a claim for victims of crime and sexual assault. Applications
aree made through Victims Compensation Tribunal and must
be
made within
two years of the violent crime occurring.
